What is in My iPhone

This week I’m going to show you the apps inside my phone. I have a lot of apps, so I’m only going to show you a few of them. First of all my phone spec is an iPhone 11 in a lavender color, in 64Gb. I am happy with all of the apps and how I have put them on my screen as of right now. I have a few apps that I haven’t been using but I have been keeping them there for a reason.

1.SNS Apps

I don’t have all my SNS apps in one folder so it’s a little bit hard to see but I have all the basics to some I need for university. I don’t think I need to explain “Instagram”, “Twitter”, “Facebook” to you so I’m going to skip them. All of the Microsoft apps and “Messenger” are for university. “RED” is a Chinese version of Instagram and the SNS I’ve been most loving recently. Also I have loved “Pinterest” for a long time so please follow me over there as well. (@lisa_heidi)

2.Camera and Edit Apps

I take all of my photos for Instagram with my iPhone or an SLR camera. I know it is better to take all of them with an SLR camera, but sometimes I don’t have it with me or it is too much effort to take it out. I normally take my photos with the normal camera but I sometimes use apps. I have used many apps but I have settled down with “SNOW”, “SODA”, “Ulike” because I like the filters of those apps. For editing, I normally use “VSCO” and “Lightroom” for photos I took at night or with an SLR camera. The app in the middle called “Grid” is an app that shows you how your Instagram feed is going to look like. I normally edit my photos to look like what they were in real life but I use this app to get a good look at my overall feed.

3.Game Apps

I play some games every day and these 8 are the ones that have stayed with me after downloading and trying so much. I have been playing “Tsum Tsum” for more than 5 years and I still play it every day. I also play “Nonogram.com” and “Spider” daily since there is a daily challenge for both apps. There also is an app called “Township” and I also play that every day. Anything other than that I play when I have time to kill, so I don’t use it often these days.

4.Shopping Apps

I have quite the variation of shopping apps and I look at them even when I don’t have any shopping to do. I use “Starbucks” pretty often and I shop at “ZARA” online once probably every season. I only buy things I can wear season after season. For “MUJI” and “UNIQLO”, I buy at the stores usually so I use the apps to redeem points. For luxury shopping “Net-a-porter” or “Farfetch” is my choice, and I use them for trend research and to kill time. I used to buy the majority of my cosmetics at Ginza Six so I have the “GSIX” app.

5.Other Apps

I have quite the variety of apps on my phone so there are a lot of apps I haven’t explained. “Tabelog” which is a restaurant app in Japan is something I started using after moving to Kyoto. “Nikkei” is the app I use to check the news. I have some apps that manage how many calories I take in every day and a one that records books I want to read next and have read. I have so many apps other than this, so if you have any apps that interest you, please let me know.

Maybe you have noticed already, but some apps have not been installed fully. Those apps are apps I haven’t been using recently but still want to keep on my phone. I do look through my phone once every three months and declutter thoroughly. At that time I go through my photos and take some photos to my Google Photo as well. Because I use my phone every day, like a lot of people, I try to keep my phone beautiful and user-friendly in my perspective at any time.

Hair Care Routine

This week I would like to tell you about my hair care routine. I breached my hair once three years ago and since then I have taken a lot of time and money on hair care. I damaged my hair a lot with one breaching and with the help of my hairdresser, I am trying to bring my hair back to the beautiful state it once was. First, I have a lot of hair but my hair is very thin. My hair is quite long and the damage gets worse as we go down. I go to the hairdresser once every month and a half and get my hair dyed every time.

1.Brushing before Shampoo

I think brushing your hair thoroughly before going into the shower is crucial. If your hair is tangled it will get damaged and it will get more damaged when it gets wet. Even my hairdresser told me to brush my hair a couple of times before going into the shower and I have been doing it every time since. It is better if you have a tangle teezer or something similar but I don’t have one, so I use a regular brush and that is fine as well.

2.Shampoo & Treatment & Conditioner

From here on is what I do in the shower. I shampoo twice every time. The first time is very fast and I rinse it off, right after it starts to bubble. The second time I take about three minutes to make sure I wash my scalp well. I try to use shampoo and conditioner from the same series, I am currently using “Mixim Suppli”. I was using the miracle series from “Pantene” for a long time, but I have decided to go on a journey to look for the best. Then I use the “mise en scéne” treatment, I choose a treatment that says it’s for damaged hair and I try not to use the same one continuously. My hairdresser told me that your hair gets used to the component of the treatment and the treatment will not work as it is supposed to. I try not to put the treatment on my scalp but put it on everywhere else. Then I go ahead and use water treatment to the end of my hair. I’m currently using one from “Kundal” but I used “Moremo” for a long time before that. After I finish putting on my treatment, I use a spring hair tie and put my hair up in a bun. I let the treatment sink in while I wash my body then rinse it off. Lastly, I put conditioner on my hair avoiding the scalp again, and rinse it all off. This is the end of my hair care inside the shower.

3.Hair Milk & Hair Oil

Now from here on we are going on into out bath hair care routine. Before I dry my hair I put on hair milk and hair oil. I have been repeatedly buying hair milk from “SHIMA” and I love it because it is not heavy but it still moisturizes my hair very well. Then, I put on hair oil on the end of my hair only because it suffers from severe damage. I just started this recently and I’m using hair oil from “&Honey” since it deeply moisturizes my hair.

4.Dry my Hair & Hair Oil

Finally, I start drying my hair. I start by drying my hair to about 80% using my hands. After it is 80% dry, I put on hair oil from “SHIMA” since it is not so heavy and I can put it on throughout my hair. Then I spray a hair mist from “ERUCALA”, which uses the heat from the hairdryer to make my hair smooth.

5.Dry my Hair & Finish

Finally, we are getting to the end. I normally take a shower at night so I use a brush and curl my hair inwards. When my hair is 100% dry, I spray “SALA” hair water to my hair thoroughly and brush it once. Then I blow cold air onto my hair to get the natural shine of my hair. This is an important step to get your cuticles back at the right place and silky smooth. Then I put the “SHIMA” hair oil to my entire hair and “&Honey” hair oil on the tip of my hair to tame my hair. This is the end of my hair care routine.

Thank you so much for reading this extremely long blog all about my hair care routine. I am astonished by how many things I put on or do to my hair after writing this. Although it is quite the job and I feel like being a girl is sometimes very time-taking, it is these times that make me feel so much joy of being born as a girl. Let’s not make this longer than it needs to be so this is the end. If you have any recommendations for shampoo, conditioners, or treatments please let me know. If I have anything that I would like to recommend to you, I am going to post it on Instagram or Twitter so please come and have a look.

2nd Trimester Resolutions

This week I’m going to write about my university life. For the people that don’t know, I go to a university in Australia. Because of COVID-19, I have been back in Japan since March of 2020 and have been attending classes online from then. From July a new term is starting for me and I wanted to write about my goals for that term. For me writing this here, raises the percentage of me reaching these goals, since I wrote it in a public place. If anyone has any questions about studying abroad or university in Australia, I would love to help.

Listen to All Classes

If I write it like this, it seems like a very normal thing to do and I will be honest with you and say it is. However, because of everything being online,  it has been somewhat hard for me to do. This is because I have a choice of watching classes later, I always think that I don’t have to watch classes here and now live. But, I can say that I don’t watch all classes later and sometimes there will be plenty for me to watch. So, I would like to force myself to watch them live or finish watching all classes by the end of the week.

Start Assignments Beforehand

I am really not good at starting assignments beforehand. Even when I was in middle school or high school, I usually started my assignments one week before the deadline. My assignments in middle or high school were not that hard, so I managed to finish them (maybe with an all-nighter) and get decent grades. However, this is not the case when it comes to university assignments. I want to finish this bad habit of mine and start assignments ahead of the deadline. I think the quality of my assignment will improve as well as my quality of life if I manage to do this.

Get 6 or Above for My Grades

At my university, a pass is a 4 or above out of 7.  For me getting a 6 or above is a very high aim for me, but why not put a high aim for myself. Universities abroad (considering from Japan) allow many fails so it is pretty scary, but if you get assignments done it isn’t that hard. (However, I have gotten multiple fails over the years.) Because universities abroad cost a lot of money and my parents are paying it for me, I want to graduate soon with very good grades.

Have a Good Routine

Usually when I start classes, I start having late-night snacks or sleep at a weird time. Now because of COVID-19, I live with my parents so I wake up at a decent time but when I lived in a dorm it was very bad. I don’t think I will be going back to the dorm any time soon, but I never want to wake up at midday and wake up latest on the weekend at 10 and weekdays at 8. I also want to start studying at 10:30 on weekdays. And I want to go to bed at least at 2am, I know this is pretty late but for me being a night owl, I am most productive at night so this is a must if I want to finish my assignments before the deadline.

This is the end of my goals for my 2nd trimester. My 1st trimester didn’t go as I wanted it to and I had assignments that didn’t make the deadline. I want my 2nd trimester to not be the same. I don’t want to push myself to be perfect and take care of my mental and physical health the most and still work my hardest to get good grades.

My Ideal Weekend

This week I’m going to introduce you to my ideal weekend. Now I do all my university classes online, there is no big difference between weekdays and weekends, but I’m going to write about my ideal weekend not regarding COVID-19. So I haven’t been able to spend this ideal weekend in a while but I hope I can soon. Please keep in mind I don’t spend this kind of weekend every week and it’s just my ideal one. (Usually, I lie on the couch and spend my day on my phone.)

Taken from Pinterest

Sleep In

Because it’s the weekend I would like to sleep in. I usually sleep at around 2AM everyday so I would like to wake up at around 10AM. (I just watch YouTube and play around on my PC so I’m not busy. There are times that I am studying though…) For me sleeping in until around noon feels like a waste of my day. So I would like to wake up the latest at 11AM.

Eat Brunch

I live with my family now so I actually eat breakfast and not eat lunch, but my ideal will be to eat brunch. In our house we have bread for the weekdays and rice for weekends but I would love to eat pancakes and Eggs Benedict as my brunch. Off course it is great to make your own brunch, but it is also good to eat something that you got the day before. I would like to watch YouTube, Netflix, or some TV while getting my brunch ready and eating.

From here on we will have two patterns.

Taken from Pinterest

Go Out

The first pattern is when I go out. I would like to finish eating at around 11:30 and start getting ready. I would like to do makeup I can’t do on weekdays, challenge on some hair arrangement, and enjoy taking time to make myself more beautiful and confident. I would like to finish at around 12:30 and head to my destination of the day. Normally for shopping I go to Ginza or Shinjuku and I will go to Omotesando or Ginza when I’m going to meet a friend. I normally shop alone, so I window shop by myself and take my time. When I’m going out with my friend, we just wander around and go to a cafe to talk. Often I come home at the latest around 5:30 and study or lounge around until dinner.

Taken from Pinterest

Lounge Around at Home

The second pattern is when I lounge around at home. What I do will differ day by day, but I will introduce you to what I normally do. The first thing is study. As I wrote in my last blog, I want to learn a new language and get some new qualifications, so I would like to study for that. I normally study at home for the sake of saving some money and I rather make my own coffee or tea. But I do sometimes go to my local cafe. The other thing I do is watch YouTube or Netflix and do some self-maintenance. I normally do my nails or study new makeup technique or take a bath and do some self-care.

Dinner

My family don’t go out for dinner in the weekdays nor weekends, and my mom makes dinner at home everyday. For my family, dinner time is the time when we come together, we always have some music going on in the background and talk about our week. After dinner, our family tackles the dishes all together and at around 9:00 we watch TV. When we watch one show, we turn the TV off and go on to do what we like individually. I normally lounge on the couch and have fun on my phone or read a book.

Sleep

At around 11:00 my mom heads to bed, so I start my night time routine around that time to head to my room at around midnight. I have already posted my night time routine so please go and have a look at that. Not much has changed from that and I go back to my room, and PC time starts. I normally do email checks, blog writing, or online window shopping unless there is no immediate deadlines, I enjoy things unrelated to my study. Then at around 1:30 to 2:00, I go to bed and check my phone for 10 minutes before going to sleep.

This is the end of my ideal weekend. This week’s blog was long but I hope you enjoyed it and thank you to the people who made it this far. It is a rare case when I actually get to spend this ideal weekend, so it has a lot of what I would like it to be. Also, it will differ when I live alone so I would like to get you an updated version when that happens. Next week I would like to upload my goals for my first trimester of 2021. It has been a while since I’ve uploaded anything related to uni or study, so please be excited.

2021 Resolutions

I’m sorry that I didn’t post for the longest time. How was everyone’s holidays and New Years? I was in Japan and I celebrated it with my parents while watching Arashi’s concert with sake. I have no idea when I will be allowed back in Australia, but I’m still studying my classes online while sometimes having somewhat of a fun time with my parents.

This time on the blog I’ll be writing my resolutions for 2021. 2020 wasn’t the year that everyone was hoping for and I changed my resolutions half way as a result. I think for this year, you don’t need to make a resolution if you don’t want to. I made it as the same as every year because it makes me feel motivated. It was very hard coming up with this year’s resolution compared to every year. However, I managed to make them and here they are. There is a big chance that these might get changed mid year as well.

Lose Weight

This doesn’t mean that I don’t like my body shape now but it does mean that I’m not satisfied with it. I would like to be more fit than I am and that is why I’m going to lose weight this year. It has been years since I have said I want to lose weight, but finally this year I’m actually going to take action. Because I don’t want to gain weight right away afterwards, I’m going to take it slow and lose weight with minimum stress. From this month I think I’m going to share the journey with you on my Twitter so please go follow me (@lisa_heidi9886). I don’t want to do any strict food restrictions, so I would just like to stop eating before I’m full and reduce the amount of snacks I’m taking in. Working out during lock down is very difficult, but I would like to train at least 4 days per week at home and go practice golf or go swimming sometimes. I would love to be confident in myself when I wear something that accentuates my body shape at the end of this year.

Learn a New Language

Next is another thing that I have been trying to do for years. So, this year I would like to be able to speak daily conversations in the language finally. I have been learning French and Chinese from last year, so I am going to continue learning them and take more time. For both of them, I don’t want to go any farther than self-learning at this point, so I would like to make use of apps and textbooks that I can use on my own. I would also like to be able to get some qualifications that would be useful in the future. Of course my study for university comes first, but I am going to study things beyond that as well. Because of COVID-19, I have been deeply feeling that I need to work hard in order to raise my market value, so that I don’t suffer during hard times like this one. I would like to make use of my university years, so that I have the chance of surviving and happily living my life for the rest of my years to come.

Become More Active

I am someone that is active from the first place, but I would like to be more active and go to new places this year. Because of this situation it was inevitable, but last year I didn’t get that much chance to meet new people. I am going to not rely on my friends but be the one initiating when to meet up and seek for new encounters by going to new places. I would also like to make some guy friends since I don’t have any in Japan because of my upbringing here. I am going to not just complain this year but move myself and try to make new personal connections. I don’t have any problems of being shy or making new friends, so I would love to make good use out of that.

Live Gracefully and Elegantly

This is a goal that I also put as my goal last year, but it has been something I will probably aim for for the rest of my life. It isn’t that I didn’t achieve it last year, but something that I would like to keep reminding myself continuously this year as well. I updated my ideal women figure this year, and I realized that this was at the base of everything. Same as last year, I don’t have anything that I am going to do specifically, but I would just like to have this mindset on my mind everyday.

This is the end of my first blog of 2021 and my 2021 resolutions. I also listed up what I want to buy, experience, and resolutions for 2021 as always. I have no idea how many I can tick off at the end of this year, but having resolutions for the year differs my satisfaction level. So I’m always satisfied every year by making this very long resolution list. For my blog I would definitely love to upload a new blog every week. I am going to make my best effort to write blogs that are useful to each and everyone of you. Have you set any resolutions for this year? If you did, please let me know in the comments.

Favorite Nail Polishes

This week I’m going to talk about nail polishes. I have had waves with self-nail over the past few years, but this time during quarantine I have been addicted once again. Usually when I’m in Tokyo I’ll have gel nail when there is an event or a trip coming up and normally go for nail polish. I don’t have any events or trips planned as of now, so I’m going to try to master self-nail during this time. I also made a big online order of nail sheets.

Chanel: Le Vernis “491 Rose Confidentiel”

This is a famous colour in the Chanel nail polish collection. It is sold out often online but I was lucky enough to be able to buy it at the duty-free shop in Narita airport. It’s a very beautiful dusty-rose colour that you can use at any season. Also, when I have this on, my friends frequently ask me “What colour do you have on your nails?” In my nail polish collection there are a lot of Chanel nails, because I love how easy it is to put on and how fast it is to dry. In addition, my mom loves Chanel nails so I have used it ever since I was very little. I started using it because of that, but since that I have used many more brands and have found out more that Chanel is one of the best. Whenever I go to duty-free shops in airports, I always look for a good new colour.

Chanel: Le Vernis “500 Rouge Essentiel”

You definitely need a red coloured nail polish in your collection. So my choice will be definitely this one. I don’t really have red on my hands so for me red will always be a colour for my toes. It might be an overstatement but my toe nails are always red in summer. Red is a very classical colour for women in specific so if you don’t have one please consider purchasing one. I really love a fresh and bright colour for my toe nails especially because I feel energized. Of course I love me a pink or beige as well.

Chanel: Le Vernis “572 Emblématique”

I always thought this was a nail colour for the autumn and winter season but this year I have been using it in summer. It is an autumn colour for sure because it is a burgundy but it has a little bit transparent so it’s good for the summer as well. I always do two coats in autumn and winter but for summer I recommend doing only one. It has a good colour payoff even with one coat, which is another reason I love Chanel nails. My mother has the same kind of burgundy which is slightly different, but we love our own which is perfect. The colour is only a slight different though…

Ducato: Natural Nail Color “N50 Mannish Gray”

Last is the only non-Chanel polish in this favourites. This is a very elegant gray but it has a good balance of both gray and blue. I have a few Ducato nail polishes in my collection and this is one of my favourite affordable nail polish brand. They have a very vast range of colour, so if you’re looking for a specific colour please have a look at this brand. Also, “Condense Milk” from Ducato is the best for a base colour when applying nail seals.

So this is the end of my favorite nail polish list. The majority of them are Chanel but I really think their quality is one of the best. If you consider where you store it, it actually holds the quality for a long time so it is not too much of an expensive purchase if you think about it carefully. The red polish which I use the most has been purchased 2 years ago and I just have used half of it. On my Instagram I show you guys my jell and self nails on my stories, so please follow me. Are you a jell type of person? Or a self nail type? Or do you do nothing to your nails?

Dream Trip Destinations

When will we be able to travel again? I think for us in Japan, summer vacation is not going to be a good idea to travel, but how is it in your country? I actually live in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, so I was talking with my parents and it seems unlikely. Even if we were able to go anywhere it would be around September to October and it will of course be inside Japan. I would love to go to Kyoto, Kamezawa, or Hakone for a hot springs trip but we are not sure about that either. However, in today’s blog I’m going to talk about my dream trip destinations. All of these are places overseas, so when we can finally resume traveling to different countries I would love to go to all of them. When that happens I would definitely be posting a travel notes here on my blog.

South of France

Southern France has always been a place I wanted to visit even when I first visited Europe 3 years ago. However, it was my first ever time to travel to Europe so we went to the famous Paris and Rome. If I go specific in whereabouts in Southern France, it will be Côte d’Azur, Niece, Provence, and even though it is a different country Monaco. At first I thought it was a very beautiful place seeing photos from Instagram. I expect the trip to be very relaxing and refreshing for both my body and soul, looking at the landscape and enjoying a slow lifestyle. I didn’t like to spend relaxing holidays when I was young, but nowadays I started to think that it is a good idea sometimes. Even though I am saying this, the trip we took to Maldives last year was very busy, as we took part in activities from the first day to the last. I would like to experience something unusual through the trip and meet some great people.

Milano

Another city from Europe, Milano, the majority of the cities I would like to visit are in Europe. As I have discovered from listing all of the places I want to visit, there was a lot of cities from Europe as I expected. In that list there was a lot of cities from Italy, for example Napoli, Venezia, and Firenze but I especially want to go to Milano next. I saw some people going to Milano on Instagram and it looked so magical. I also saw someone, who I follow on Instagram, have their wedding around Lake Como and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, so I would love to go there as well. I want to make this trip to go somewhere elegant and spend some time indulging in expensive and luxury things to raise my spirits and to get some motivation to work hard again.

Shanghai

Last place I would love to visit in Shanghai. I have only gone to Thai, Maldives, and Taiwan so I would like to visit more countries and cities in Asia. I haven’t even been to South Korea which I would love to go to, but I want to go to China the most. I really want to go to China in the next few years. I think the energy is so high and special in China now and rising so I want to go there during that time. I really want to go to Shanghai not Beijing because it is one of the leading financial city in China and one of my friends who visited said “The energy level is very different from other cities”, so I am excited.

This is the end of my dream trip destinations list. I want to go to Cape Town, Egypt, and Brazil other than on this list but the 3 places here are the places I want to go to the most. I don’t know where I’m going or even if I’m going anywhere this year but I would like to have fun anyways. Let’s look forward to when we can go travelling overseas for now patiently. (When is it going to be though?) Please tell me where your dream and recommended destinations are!! My recommendations will be Palau and Kenya probably!? I’m thinking about posting my past travels up on here. How do you think about that?

The Importance of Having a Dream or Goal

This week I am going to tell you the importance of having a dream or goal from my point of view. For this topic everyone has their opinion, since having goals for some people can be the motivation to work harder. So please read this as an individual’s opinion. If you have read my 2020 Resolution blog, you probably know that I love having goals and dreams. For me having a dream or resolution has a direct connection on how much I want to work for it. This blog is going to be a presentation presented by me about what is good to have a dream or goal.

Motivation

For me having a goal or dream is connected to how long I can keep my motivation. I know this depends on the individual, but for me I can keep going on if I have a set goal. For me goals don’t need to be a big thing, having one is more meaningful. Especially, I normally have a reward associated to the goal so it motivates me more to work harder. Working hard isn’t an easy thing to do and you will normally feel worn out from time to time, so it is different when you know until where you have to work hard.

Excitement

Please take a moment and imagine yourself when you have achieved you resolution or dream. Don’t you feel excited? I do so much. I fantasize sometimes being my ideal person who I dream of, living her lifestyle, and the compliments I get from people. Then I feel like I want to be her as fast as I can, which I can only achieve if I work harder. This cannot be done without a dream. If you don’t have a dream you are not going to be able to fantasize the time when it comes true. Excitement is something that is important for me in life so I try to get excited as much as I can. I feel like being excited has many benefits for you, since I feel like it can make you look younger and it can deepen your knowledge.

Leads to Confidence

I become confident of myself when I reach my dream or resolution. When it comes true it is a proof that you have worked hard and you have the will power to pull through. Don’t you feel more confident about yourself when you have achieved something? I do because of the reasons above. I think that people with confidence has so much benefit. For example, having good posture or being able to speak clearly to anyone. These things are some things that I feel like are quite important in life and things I would like to have. I do not want to be someone that has too much confidence in themselves, but I will like to have some confidence in myself as I’m living as myself for decades to come.

This week I talked to you about the importance of having a dream or resolution. How was it? I don’t think anyone has changed their mind, but I hope you understood there are people thinking this way. What are some of your dreams? My dream for now is to graduate university with good grades, and to lose some weight. I have rewards for both of them that make me work harder so I would love to achieve them in the future.

How I Study for Tests

This week I am going to show you how I study for tests. Right now I’m a university student in Australia and I am enjoying my short break in between terms. (I think I can call it my winter break?) So I had my last finals the previous Tuesday and I’m relieved that everything is done. This term everything went online because of COVID-19, and I came back to Japan after a month of classes. However, I’m not going to talk about how to prepare for online exams. Rather I’m going to talk about how I prepare for my normal exams that we take in university. Of course this is not guaranteed that it will suit everyone, so please take it as a recommendation from a fellow student.

Taking Notes

I know there is so many types of people when it comes to studying, but for me note taking is very important. I have some points that is important for me when it comes to note taking. First of all find out what note taking method works for you. These days I take my notes on a computer but I used to take hand written notes. There are lots of people that can remember things more when taking hand written notes but for me it didn’t really make a big difference. So, I use the computer since it’s handy and doesn’t take as much time. Second of all I read it out loud when I’m making my notes. This is a note I will make when I have been given the lectures, slides, and workshops. Then I will make the notes that I will use to review before my finals. While writing this note I will make sure I read it out loud because then I will use my mouth, ears, eyes, and hands to write the notes making it easier for me to remember things. Third is to use the same colour for every notes. For example, I use green for  things the teacher says is going to be on the test and red for important words. This does not change when making notes for any class or subject. This becomes useful when writing notes for sure but also when you are reviewing your notes before the finals. Anyways, it is very important to find a note taking method that works for you so please do that as fast as you can.

Asking Questions

If you have anything that you don’t know, don’t remain it like that and ask a question. For me my father has always been looking at my studies so I ask him, but you can ask anyone like your friends or teachers. Of course you can ask the teachers what you have learned in class but I get good reactions from them when I ask them something that goes beyond the lecture. I really feel that we can get good impressions from teachers, which sometimes leads to good marks, when I ask questions. This does differ to every lecturer but for me it has worked a lot, for example getting better marks for my essays or having good marks on attitude. So, I try to ask questions a lot to everyone not just for the meanings of getting good grades but also to be a favourite student to the teachers, especially when it comes to my major subjects.

Planning

Plan out what you’re going to study. You can use a study planner for this, but it didn’t suit me so I use random pieces of paper. I also plan out what I want to study for the week on Sunday night on a designated paper. I write what I would like to achieve each day but I write more than what I think I can do. I plan out what I want to do each individual day more precisely the previous night or that morning. I write how much pages I want to accomplish or how much of the essay I want to get done. I also write what I have to get done in red, so that I can tell what I need to prioritize. I will write the aim time in a very small font for each task next to it as well. The important thing when it comes to planning is to not get mad at yourself when you can’t do things the way you planned it.

That’s it for how I study for test or in general. I don’t know if anything was to any good use but I hope someone found it useful. I think this is my final form of how I study, which took me years to find out. My university life is going to end in about 2 years but I would love to get as much new knowledge in myself as I can. Let’s go through this sometimes tough journey of studying together!!

Favourite Sunscreen

This week I would like to introduce you to my favourite sunscreens. I try to apply sunscreen on myself (especially the face area) all around the year. But from around the end of April to the beginning of May, I definitely put on sunscreen everyday. I like the look of a healthy beautifully tanned skin but I prefer a clear and bright skin for myself. Also, getting sunburnt increases the risk of you getting skin cancer so I try to not get sunburnt. Also, when I went to primary school in Australia, we were not allowed to go outside during break time if we didn’t have a hat. There everyone had sunscreen on during the summer, and it became a habit for me to put on sunscreen everyday and frequently. So, let’s go on and introduce you to my favourite sunscreens!

Skin Aqua: Tone Up UV Essence “Lavender”

This sunscreen has a lavender tint which gives you clear skin due to the effect of the color. Lavender is made up of blue which gives you clear skin and pink which gives you life and a little bit of blush and liveliness. So, it will make your bare skin more beautiful and make it look like it has a veil of makeup. Especially, when your face hits the sun it reflects the light and makes your skin look clearer and gives you a natural highlight. I use this when I don’t apply makeup all day or when I want to use lavender as a control color for underneath my makeup.

Bioré: UV Athlizm Skin Protect Essence

This is the other sunscreen I use on a daily basis. I feel like it has more effect than the one above so I use it when I go out for the whole day. Also, this is waterproof so I use it when I go to the pool or sea and if I reapply it every 1.5-2 hour, I don’t get sunburnt as much. From this time on I put sunscreen on my body, and this is the only sunscreen I apply on my body. I try to apply sunscreen the most on my décolleté area and hand, which can become spots easily. I love this because it doesn’t come off easily with sweat, it doesn’t have white powder residue, and it is very easy to spread.

Shiseido: Clear Stick UV Protector

I don’t use this everyday but I use it usually when touching up on my makeup. If I’m going to the pool or the ocean I always bring the one above, and for other times I usually have a powder foundation. However, if I feel like I need a proper sunscreen for that day I always bring this with me. I love it because it creates no mess, you don’t need to use your hands and it has no color to it. It has some scent to it but for me it isn’t strong and is rather pleasant. You can also use it on your body so I do that as well.

Lancôme: UV Expert Tone Up Milk “Rosy Bloom”

I use this more as a primer than a sunscreen but the effect as a sunscreen is very high, so I’m going to put it on the list here. I think this product is only available in Asia but it is very famous over here. The color has been chosen from 64, to fit perfectly to the ideal skin tone. I have used it since it was first released and I have loved it from the start. It doesn’t have the sticky feeling a lot of other sunscreen have maybe because it is more of a primer, but you can go on to applying your makeup right after it. I use this when I want to look a little bit more feminine, soft or gentle. I love this because it makes my skin look like lovable want to touch skin,  which is my favorite type.

This is the end of my favorite sunscreen list. These days there are so many new sunscreens out on the market, so I would like to try more this summer. I will update you the list if there is any new favorites. From this season on you can not live without sunscreen, so I hope everyone doesn’t get sunburnt.
