Bag Wishlist

I make lists for majority of things but specifically I love making wishlists. I love looking at beautiful things and products which are on my wishlist and this is also the best way for me to motivate myself. I can remind myself that I’m working so hard for these things or that I need to work harder to buy these things on my wishlist, so both seeing and making the list motivates me and makes me happy. There are so many more wishlists like jewelry, shoes, clothing, and makeup and I am planning to share them with you soon. There are so many bags that didn’t make it to this list which I want. It didn’t make the list because I don’t want them as much right now or it doesn’t suit me currently. So, this wishlist is bound to change all the time according to my feelings and style at that specific time.

Christian Dior: My Lady Dior Bag

This is the only bag that I have a plan of when I’m going to buy it. I plan to buy it as an university graduation present to myself from myself. I have no idea if I can graduate as planned regarding the current situation but if it goes as planned, it’s going to be in October, 2022. I’m going to an Australian university so I’m graduating in October. This is the bag that I want the most and love the most. Dior is my favorite brand and I have wanted their most iconic bag for the longest time. However, I decided I want to get this bag myself since I went to Europe for my high school graduation. This is because I wanted to make it a special moment for myself and I wanted to buy it with my own money. For now I want it in the My Lady size and in the champagne pink but the size might change into mini, the smallest size.

Valentino: Rockstud Spike Medium Bag

Next is Valentino’s iconic rockstud bag and it is very famous for the multiple sizes too. I want it in pink for this one as well but I would like a vivid pink or a beige pink. Someone that I admire had the vivid pink version and after seeing it on her, it soon made its way to the wishlist. I love how you can use it casually but it still looks elegant. I want it in the medium size since it can still hold a lot of things while looking graceful.

Hermes: Picotin Lock Bag

This is not a bag I want right now but I would like to have it in my 20’s, so I put it in this list. I think Hermes bags are a dream for every women and it is the same for me. Of course Birkin and Kelly, the icon of Hermes are some bags I want but I feel like it is a little bit early for me to own them and they are also super expensive. So I want the Picotin Lock bag for me currently. I couldn’t decide between a Bolide but I felt like the Picotin will suit my style better. I haven’t decided the color or sizing for this one but I would like to have a blueish color or anything vivid.

Miu Miu: Iconic Crystal Leather Bag

This bag is a bag I have been told by numerous people that it suits me very well and I feel the same as it matches my current style and feeling. I’m still not able to decide what color but I’m feeling like the orthodox pink or light blue. I have a phone case from Miu Miu so I would love to expand my collection in my 20’s. Expanding it with a bag seems like a good idea for me and this bag will probably be great for it.

Fendi: Mini Peekaboo Iconic

This bag might be a little bit too mature for me but I feel like you can use it for a lifetime, so I would like to invest in it from early on. It is a very plain bag but can be the main point of a coordinate and as a bag lover, I would like to have one of these in my collection. I will love to have it in the dove gray color and in the mini size. However, I’m open to black or white if the leather is lamb skin. I love the smoothness and softness of the lamb skin and would love to have the Peekaboo in this leather specifically.

This is the end of my bag wishlist. There are so many more bags I would love to own but this is only what I want in the next few years. Of course I know it isn’t possible for me to own them all in the next few years but I would love to own them one by one even if it is a slow pace. For me the moment either buying or getting luxury items as a present, is a very special moment which I remember forever. So, I would like to buy these items when I want to remember specific turning points in my life. By the way I am planning to buy a Dior oblique belt when COVID-19 ends and we are able to go to department stores normally. So I can remember how hard these days of quarantine were when I get older.

Life Update

I am so sorry that I haven’t uploaded for a very long time. In these 2 months, a lot has happened for me. I haven’t been out for about 2 weeks and the Coronavirus has been in full force as you guys probably know. I have made a re-start during this time, so I’m going to update you on what has happened to me.

University life

I have been attending a university in Vancouver, Canada from September 2017, but I left on April 2019. I didn’t leave because I didn’t want to study anymore but I wanted to change the subject I was studying. Even though I did complete 2 years of university in Vancouver, I made the decision to start all over again with my studies and start fresh and new and not do any credit transfers. So, where am I for university right now and what have I chosen for my new major? I have started my new university in Brisbane, Australia from February 2020 and my major is in the tourism and hospitality area. I have wanted to study it from when I initially applied for university, however I decided on the university in Vancouver with a major of international relations. However, after 2 years of actually studying it, it didn’t feel right for me and I was loosing the motivation to study. So, I decided it was the right timing for me to change my university and start again. I have studied tourism for about a month and a half, and it is so much more interesting and I finally have regained my love of gaining new knowledge. Also, university life for me is so much more exciting and fun.

Deciding to head back

I flew to Brisbane on 14th of February to start my university life, but I am in Tokyo right now. I started university from the final week of February and have enjoyed the normal university student life of going to classes, talking to friends until late at night, reading my textbooks, and so on. Because Australia is an island country, coronavirus wasn’t really a hot topic back then. However, in the middle of March there was a sudden increase in patients. Even though it wasn’t anything close to a pandemic, Australia took good use of the fact that it is an island country and started closing their borders. At first it was only China, South Korea, and Italy which were the same as many other countries, but the countries started increasing in the matter of a few days. In the end of the 2nd week of March some of the states started to shut their borders and in response to that supermarkets were low in stock.  As I lived in a dorm, where the transportation is not that good and you can’t just run to the supermarket, securing food was a big problem. By that time my university had already stated that they were going online fully for the trimester and even for the final exam which are scheduled in late May. After calling my parents multiple times, we decided that there is no meaning of me staying in Australia and it was time for me to head back to Japan. Also, Australia had stated that their major airline companies were going to cancel international flights until the end of May. The flight that I took on March 25th ended up being the last direct flight from Brisbane to Tokyo.

Life in Japan

I have been in Japan since March 25th but I haven’t been outside until today(4/10). I have been out to my porch, but I decided before coming back that I would self quarantine myself for 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks a lot has changed for Japan, and the government has declared a state of emergency including Tokyo, where I live. Fortunately I am now living with my parents because they have kept my room. So I don’t need to worry about cooking a meal or going out grocery shopping. Today I went out for the first time after coming back from Brisbane but I only went to the local supermarket and convenience store. I also did go to my local cake store because I really wanted one. I am planning to eat it after dinner as a dessert. I’m going to do a quick update about my family as well. My dad has been going to work as usual. My dad’s company has over 80% of their workers, work from home but because of my father’s position he is still going to work everyday. However, he doesn’t eat outside for work and he comes home pretty early compared to usual. Also he goes to work at 6:30AM which is usual so he is not in the packed train. My mother is a stay-at-home wife so she only goes out for grocery shopping. For me I am staying at home unless I am going to my local supermarket or pharmacy until the end of May when the state of emergency is going to end as of now. I am going to think about things later than that, when it gets closer to that time. For the moment I have been spending my time at home as usual and have been attending online classes. Especially from now I have a lot of papers to submit and exams to study for, so I’m going to work hard on them. For now my family is safe and sound and healthy at home so please do not worry about us.

This will be the end of my life update. There has been a lot of events during the 2 months but I hope you got up to date with me on everything. If you have any questions please comment them here or on instagram or twitter. I will definitely be uploading a blog every week from now so please come have a look when you’re bored. I hope I can do something to make your quarantine life a little bit easier and happier. Please keep in mind the quote “Not meeting anyone so that I can meet someone again”, and please stay at home and keep safe!

Luxury Cosmetics for Me

This week I would like to go into makeup and especially into luxury cosmetics. To some people it might seem like a waste of money but luxury cosmetics is special and a must for me. If you take a look at my makeup collection you will realize that a lot of them are luxury cosmetics. There are a few reasons that I love them so much, like I love the brands but there are more reasons. I would like to explain to you why luxury cosmetics is special and necessary for me and why I will continue buying them.

Quality

For me luxury cosmetics has a good and high quality. I don’t really know if that is actually true but you can do the googling yourself. I have a non-sensitive skin so I don’t really need to care about the ingredients that much but I care if it is good to put on your skin. I especially am cautious about my lips because it is inevitable to get it into your mouth. So, if you see my lip drawer you will see there is a high percentage of luxury brands in there.

Pigmentation and Long-Lasting

I just think that luxury cosmetics have a better colour payoff and they last on my face for a longer time. I feel like you can see the difference especially in eyeshadows I love my Dior eyeshadow palettes the most because of the pigmentation, the shine of the glitters, and the end result after you’ve put it on for a whole day are very different from a non-luxury one. You can tell the difference the most in the pigmentation of the dark coloured eyeshadow and how long your foundation will last. I only buy highend cosmetic for my foundation but I just love luxury cosmetics more.

Mood

I’m sorry that this last one is not specific but my mood for the day is different from when I use luxury makeup or not. When I want to show myself as a reliable person for an interview or when I’m buying expensive things or big things, I use luxury cosmetics. Not only the amount of money I spent on it, but also the mood that I’m using a luxury item makes me feel good. I think this depends on the individual the most and also what makeup brand they love and use. For me Tom Ford, Chanel, and especially Dior gets me happy and in a good mood. I also feel more confident and feel like I want to be like a classy and elegant lady.

So, this is the end of how special luxury cosmetics is for me. It has evolved into something I can’t live without. Luxury cosmetics is a topic that really depends on the person, but I would love it if any of you reading this understands my thoughts. Also, please regard this when you see my purchases of luxury makeup. Who is on the same boat as me? Do you buy any luxury makeup and if you do which brand is it from?

2020 Resolutions

Happy New Year!!

How was everyone’s holidays? I was at my home eating special Japanese New Year’s food, while watching TV. I wanted to publish this blog maybe until the 3rd but I kind of took some time off and enjoyed some time with my family. As I said in the last blog, I’m going to share with you my new year resolution. I love setting resolutions in general so I have a lot, but the four I will share with you today are my most big and general ones.

Live Gracefully and Elegantly

This is my biggest resolution of the year. I wrote out my ideal women figure and who I look up to as a woman this year and all of them had gracefulness and elegance as a foundation. There is not much I would like to do specifically but I would just like to have this mindset at all time. However, there are some things I would like to keep in mind specifically like keeping my room clean and putting everything back in their spot and have leisurely time. If there is a woman that ticks all of my ideal women type, I would like to always ask myself if that woman would do the exact thing I’m about to do.

Make More Friends

This year will be a challenging and a hard-working year for me because I’m transferring to a university in Australia from February. Going into a new university will mean that I’m going to meet a lot of new people, so I would like to make more friends. Even though I think I have a lot of friends as of now, I will like to make more friends from all over the world. My last university was very international but I made friends from Korea, Japan, and Bangladesh mostly so I would love to make friends from European countries as well. I don’t really get shy and I haven’t had any problems making friends so I will try to keep that up and challenge myself to be more outgoing.

Make Plans and Do It as Planned

I make plans when doing anything. For example, studying for exams, what I’m doing for that day, everyday chores, and literally everything I do from day to day. However, it is rare that I am able to finish it as I planned. So, I would like to make plans and finish them in time. Until now I planned way more than what I’m able to get done in the amount of time I allocate. So this year I am going to plan with more allowance in time and make less impossible plans. Also, I am going to make it my first priority to finish my plans everyday.

Live Healthily & Lose Weight

From February I’m going back to living on my own as a university student, so there is a high possibility of getting less sleep and not eating as much vegetables. So, I would like to pay attention to these details and live a healthy lifestyle. Also, this kind of lifestyle will help me to lose some weight and keep that weight. I would of course try to fit in a workout and get my calorie consumption higher. Then I can lose weight healthily and keep that good style easily. Of course as a university student, studying is what I need to prioritize, so I will be easy on myself before exams. But I would be basically strict on myself and say no excuses to myself and keep the healthy lifestyle for the whole year.

This is the end of my 2020 goals. As I have wrote above I have more goals small and big, and I also have a “100 Bucket List” which I set every year. For this blog, I would like to keep the goal of uploading every week. Also, I would like to advertise my blog to more people so that there are more people that know and read my blog. During this year, I would love to work with a company as well. Do you have any goals for this year? For me having goals or not changes my enrichment of the total year by a lot. So, I recommend everyone to have some kind of goal for every year.

A Round Up of 2019

Happy New Year!!

I had a lot going on in 2019 and a lot of it I haven’t mentioned here. I would like to go a little bit into that and go through 2019 briefly. I would start with January and go through until December and slightly go into 2020.

January: Coming-of-Age Ceremony

I was in Vancouver, Canada for my 2nd semester of 2nd grade of university from January to March. This ceremony is very special to a lot of Japanese so I was looking forward to it for a long time. This ceremony is once in a lifetime because you only get to attend when you turn 20 years old, which is an indication of adulthood in Japan. I also got to own a special kimono called “furisode”, so I would love to wear that to my friend’s wedding someday.

February: Whistler

My parents came to visit me and we went up to Whistler, which is a very famous place to ski. My parents actually have lived in Vancouver before I was born, so it is a special place for them. So, they visited me once each year during the two years I was there.

April: Disney

April was the month between my 2nd semester and my summer semester, so I went back to Japan. During that time I went to Disney Sea with my best friend, and Disney Land with my mother. We had great weather and not that much crowd for both days, and as a Disney mania myself, I was pleased with the Disney trip. This photo is from a jazz bar, where I went with my parents.

June: Vancouver

For May and June, I took summer semesters so I went back to Vancouver. My mom came to Vancouver to help me withdraw all my luggage and to also have some fun. We had a day trip to Seattle by bus from Vancouver and played golf 2 times as well.

August: Maldive & Thailand

From July onto February of 2020, I am back in Tokyo with my parents. We went to Maldive and Thailand for this summer vacation. Every summer vacation we go to different countries. This year I wanted to go to Maldive so these two countries were picked. The two were very different, so it was added to one of the trips I can’t forget for the rest of my life.

October: Golf

I finally got to play golf with my parents. I have never learned golf professionally but I always have learnt it from my father. So, playing golf with my family is always a joy. Golf is a sport that you can do for your whole life so I want to improve and keep on playing it forever. I haven’t been able to break 100 so that’s my goal for now.

November: Driver’s License

It was kind of a slow start for me but I started trying to get my driver’s license on this month. I had my permit in New York and was able to drive around so I didn’t have that much fear in driving. I was able to get my actual driver’s license on the 1st week of December. I haven’t driven ever since but I would like to soon.

December: Disney & Christmas

I can’t believe it’s 2020 already but 2019 has ended somewhat peacefully. I went to Disneyland with my mother and aunt. It was a warm and not so crowded day as well. We also celebrated Christmas with a chicken and cake for dinner. I was so blessed that I was able to eat the Christmas cake from my favourite cake shop.

This is the end of my 2019 round up. It was very fast but how was it? I was pretty tired mentally the first half because of my university, but I finally decided to change university and in the latter half I was busy getting ready for that. However, I think 2019 was a very happy year for me. I’m going to start a new life in Australia this year so I would like to challenge some new things. 2020 will be a year of change and a year that I need to work hard, so I would like to brace myself and work on each thing. I would also like to work harder on this blog and upload more to get closer to my dream. You will get to see more of my 2019 memories on my instagram, so please have a look. (@lisa__heidi, there are 2 underbars)

I will upload this year’s goals probably tomorrow or the day after so please have a look at that too.

I hope all of you have a wonderful and healthy 2020. I pray for your success this year.

What’s in My Small Handbag

I think it’s a little bit too late for the party season, but when ever I have a party or a dinner to go to I always use a small handbag. For me some of my small handbags are like accessory but I always put in my essentials. So, today I would like to show you what is in my small bag. I will start with my essentials and then go into things I would bring when I have more room.

Card Case

I carry a card case with me at all times. Inside there are two cards, my identification card, band-aid, and a 5000 yen bill. The places I go with my small bags are mostly where card payment is available, so I don’t carry around cash that much. However, Japan isn’t completely cashless so I carry a 5000 yen bill with me. If I’m going somewhere really far I might carry a 10000 yen bill. My mother once told me that “You should carry around the amount of money that you need to get back home from where you are by taxi in cash.” so I always carry around whatever I need.

Lipstick

I always carry around the lipstick that I put on that day. I already have shared with you my night-out makeup so please and go take a look at that. (10/27) I normally choose a bright-coloured lipstick, but I choose the colour by two patterns. The two are, choosing them after doing my makeup and looking at the balance or by choosing it first and then doing my makeup. If I have some room in my bag, I will also carry around a lipstick or gloss that has a different texture to the one I have on.

Powder

My foundation around my nose area tend to smudge a little so a powder is a necessity, even if it’s just a night out. Normally I bring my powder foundation from Dior, but sometimes I will bring my Les Beiges Powder from Chanel. I also check if there is a good mirror on the powder since I will use that for touching up my lips.

Hand Cream

Of course I have a hand cream with me in the winter, but I also will have it with me even in the summer time. If I have a big bag I will bring my Ohana Mahaalo or Miss Dior, but I will have a small hand cream from L’occitane when it’s my small bag. The one that I’m using currently is an amenity of the ANA business class, which my father got on his business trip. But normally I will have a 30ml one that I bought or received as a present.

Handkerchief

I think it is an etiquette to carry around a handkerchief with you at all time. I normally carry around a towel handkerchief but I will bring a normal handkerchief when it doesn’t fit. I don’t own as much normal handkerchief because you need to iron it every time. I like cute towel handkerchiefs, so I buy a lot from Jill Stuart and Disney. I choose from my collection according to where I’m going, how I’m feeling, and the outfit I have on that day.

From here is what I would bring when I have a little bit more space in my bag.

Small Wallet

If I have some space I will always bring my small wallet from Dior with me. It is a very beautiful colour and I’m very glad that I was able to buy it in such colour. However, I love my long wallet so much because of how convenient it is for me and I will continue using it even though small wallets are trending right now, I don’t have that much chances to use it so, I would love to use my small wallet whenever I get the chance to do so.

Mirror

One side of the small round mirror is a regular mirror and the other side is a magnifying mirror. I use a mirror whenever I want to touch up on my lips and to look if my jewelries are on the right way. I can use the mirror on my powder but it looks more formal and impolite, so I tend to have a mirror.

This is all I have in my small bag. The keys for my house is together with my PASMO (transportation electronic IC card) and I have it with my phone. I also don’t own any cars so I don’t have a key case or anything similar to that. I usually carry my phone in my hand or have it in my pocket. I love having my small bag with me, because I feel more feminine and put together when I have a small bag. Do you have anything that you can’t leave your house without? Mine would be phone and card case. I also might have a black pen with me from time to time.

I will have another post coming up probably around midnight (Japan time) with my 2019 round up, which will be me going through memories of this year.

Favourite Stationary

Maybe I have said this in the past, but I love stationary. I haven’t bought quite as much as I used to, but I used to buy so much. I have loved stationary since I was really little and have started to figure out what I prefer and use. So, I would like to share my favourite stationaries. This is based on my preference so just take it as an advice.

Uni: Kuru Toga

I have only used kuru toga when I use a mechanical pencil for the last 5 years. I love how the thinness of the lead, the depth of black, and the pressure is always the same. I have used many mechanical pencils over the years but this is proudly No.1 and it is probably in the hall of fame. I have 4 of them, and 3 of the 4 are collaborations with Disney. The 3 designs are all so cute and it adds to the love to this range.

Uni: Style Fit

I think I have been using this pen from when I was in grade 6. There are a lot of customizable pens on the market but this one is my favourite. The colour, finish, touch, and feel are all the best for my preference. I choose the 0.34 thickness because I have found out that this is the best for me. Because you can choose the colour, I set the colours according to what I need at that time. Because I like having so many colours I carry around a 5-colour and a 3-colour holder. This also has a collaboration with Disney, so I change the cover regularly.

Uni: Uni-ball Signo

This is the single colour pen, I have been using for about 5 years in the colour pink and black. I have them both in the 0.34 thickness. (BTW, I have been using the SARASA black pen in 0.5 for about 10 years.) Black and pink are the colours I use the most so I have them in the singles. I chose this range because I love the finish and colour. This pen is very similar to the Style Fit, but I didn’t choose the singles in that range because I was afraid I was going to loose them easily. When I run out of the pink and there isn’t any spares, I panick a little bit.

Zebra: Mildliner

This is a highlighter, but not in the fluorescent colour and is gentle to the eyes. I love the pastel colour so much, so I have used it for the past 4 years and haven’t really thought about wanting to change them recently. I love the feel and the fact that it will never blur as well. Although you can’t see where you are highlighting, I don’t mind it as much because I rarely highlight places I don’t need to.

So, this is the end of my favourite stationary. These days, I have been buying stocks of these. However, I check whatever has been launched recently so I buy some items even though I don’t need any more. On the other hand, I have slowly been able to know what I prefer and will use, so I don’t buy any items that I buy but don’t use. There are so many more stationaries that I have and love so I might share them in the future. I hope this blog is to any use to anyone out there, that is going to start a new year with new stationaries. Because it actually gets me hyped and excited!

Favourite Hand Creams

This week I am going to introduce you to my favourite hand creams. My hands are not the ones that become very dry so I put importance on the scent, how sticky it is after I apply it and the moisture. Please refer to this blog to buy your hand cream this season.

Miss Dior: Miss Dior Hand Cream

My favourite and most used perfume is Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet from Dior and this smells so familiar to it. When I knew that there was a hand cream from the Miss Dior range, I went to buy it immediately. A lot of people actually compliment me on the scent and ask me what I am using when I have this on. The scent is pretty strong so I don’t recommend using it before going to restaurants though. I don’t use it daily but I use it when I am going out shopping, going to sleep, or when I want to relax. The scent is something I am used to, so it makes me relaxed and confident. The moisture is brilliant but it is never sticky and you can hold your phone and not mind the finger print.

Ohana Mahalo:  Fragrance Hand Cream

This Ohana Mahalo series is very famous in Japan and I have a few products from them. But, I didn’t know they had hand cream and body milk so I bought them immediately. All of the products from the series have a beautiful and faint scent and it is perfect for university, where you have people close to you, but you want to have a nice scent. This is another feature about this series but the packaging is adorable. As a girl, I love having cute things in my bag so I love seeing the package.

Atrix: Beauty Charge Hand Cream

This is a hand cream I have been using since I was in middle school. There are a variation of scents and I love all of them, but I love the honey & yuzu scent the most. It has a fresh but little bit of sweet scent and I have never met any thing like this. Also, the moisture it has and how it never leaves my hand sticky is my favourite from every brand I have used. I always put this one with no scent on before going to a restaurant.

This is  the end of my favourite hand creams. From now on when the air becomes drier, hand creams are a must and I am going to keep on rebuying these three. There are so many more hand creams around my house which I mainly got from my friends, but I tend to lean towards the three I introduced. I choose from my hand cream collection by scent everyday according to my mood that day. Please let me know if you have any good hand creams you recommend.

Favourite Knit Type

This week I am going to share my favourite knit type. There are a lot of types of knits and I love wearing them in the fall to winter season. I seem to keep on buying new ones of the three types I’m going to share with you. I feel that there are certain types of knit shapes that suit your body type and style of clothes.

Knits with Pearls

I bought a grey one about two seasons ago and I really wore it a lot, so since then I have loved this type. I bought the majority of mine from ZARA and I bought a beige one this year. Pearls look very classic and elegant so I love them as accessories as well. So pearls on knits also look very classy and expensive. This knit can be a centre piece in the coordination of that day when you can live with only wearing knits. But you can also wear it in the winter with a coat on top because it isn’t overpowering. In the winter I tend to go for pearls for accessories as well so this knit goes well with those too.

Knits with Buttons on the Shoulder

I bought two of these in different colours from ZARA last season and I have loved it since. It was quite a bargain regarding how it looks and how elegant it is. For this one I have a specific type that I love and it is a knit which is pretty body conscious. I normally wear this tucked into a skirt. Also, it makes you look skinnier than you actually are so I love that aspect too. Since buying the two I have last season from ZARA, I haven’t found anything in this type. So, I’m going to keep looking because I would love to have it in a cream colour or something in a light colour. Also, this is so good for the coming season, under a coat and it won’t make you look bundled up.

Turtleneck Knits

This is something that I have always loved and keep on rebuying every year without a failure for about the past 5 years or so. I tend to become particular of the fabric and colour about my basic items like my turtleneck knits. Colour choice depends on the person, but I tend to go for fluffy, gentle, and beautiful colour. Most of my turtleneck knits are from UNIQLO or an original brand by Takashimaya. I also am pretty particular on the silhouette and never go for anything quite chunky and buy knits I can wear on top of skirts. After all, I admire women that wear a turtleneck knit and jeans in the winter beautifully so I would love to be one of them.

This is the end of my favourite type of knits. Knits are a must have in my autumn to winter wardrobe so I have quite a lot. Of course I will buy things out of these types, but when it comes to rebuying I tend to reach for the same types. Did you buy any knits this year? If you did what kind of knit did you buy?

Morning Routine

This week I am going to share my morning routine. This differs from when I have something to do that day or not, so I will share with you two types then. For me how I spend my mornings determine how I feel the whole day and my attitude toward that day. So I try to be careful how my mornings are spend.

Get Up

First of all we need to get out of bed. Japan is actually going in to the colder months, which getting out of bed gets harder and harder everyday because of the warmth of your comforter. I use an app called “Sleep Cycle” on my iPhone and the alarm goes off when is the easiest to wake up between the designated 15 minutes. I feel like it has actually changed how I feel when I wake up and how easy it is for me. Then I sit on my bed and stretch, which is a signal for my body to actually wake up and start a new day.

Skincare Ⅰ

Morning skincare is a must because it is important to get rid of all the dirt and the residue of your nighttime skincare. However, it is not good to get rid of too much sebum so I choose the right detergency for my skin. I normally use the Kiehl’s whitening scrub for summer and the Dior snow line face wash for winter. After I towel dry my face gently, I use the Aqualabel whitening lotion and push that in my skin about 2-3 times. I put in my contacts while my lotion is sinking in to the skin and use the Aqualabel whitening emulsion. I have very poor vision so I put in regular contacts everyday. Then I put some hair mist into my hair and brush the knots out. This is the end of my morning skincare for now.

Change & Breakfast

I prepare my breakfast and go back to my own room to change. Then I eat breakfast, which is bread for weekdays and rice for the weekend. My mother sets the table for the weekend except for my drink, but I have to do everything for the weekdays myself. I try to take seasonal fruit as much as I can. My drink of choice is ice milk tea for the summer and milk tea or cafe au lait for the winter. I scroll through SNS or watch TV while eating breakfast for the weekdays and enjoy some time with my parents for the weekends. What I wear when I am in my house is pretty whatever so I am trying to dress better. I will make sure to share them with you guys when the right time comes.

Skincare Ⅱ

I then do the part 2 of my morning skincare. First I start with brushing my teeth, while I do this I try to fit some small fitness. Then I put on sunscreen and I always put it on even when I know I’m not going out. This is because you can get sunburn from the blue light from PC screens and the sun light from your window. If I feel like I want more firmness I will put on some cream from Kiehl’s before my sunscreen. From here it will change if I have something to do or not.

When I was somewhere in Italy

When I have somewhere to go

I go straight back to my room and start doing makeup. I have no daily makeup that I go to, so I do my makeup according to how I feel that day. Also, I try to put an outfit together in my head while doing my base makeup. So, I will also do my makeup according to my outfit or where I’m going. How I pick out an outfit is very different from time to time so I will share my tips and tricks with you in the near future. (I think I have about 5 types.) Then I change into the outfit I chose and go do my hair. I normally put it up in a half up or leave it as it is because I’m not that good at curling my own hair. Then, I choose my bag, put everything I need in it, and put on my accessories. The last thing I do before going out is put on lips and then I’m out the door.

When I don’t have anything to do

I go straight from the washroom to the sofa and dive in to SNS. It normally starts from insta, goes to twitter and then lastly I end up playing some games that I’m into. I will force myself to end it at around 11-12 and around that time my battery will be running out as well. Then, I go back to my room and do what I need to do for the day which is normally writing a blog post or reading some books or studying.

This is the end of my morning routine. Of course, I don’t do this every morning but I try to make a flow in my morning so that I have a good start to my day everyday. It has also made me not feeling as gloomy when I wake up. I also feel that I am more productive when I kind of go with this morning routine. To some people’s surprise making a morning routine might actually gain you some extra minutes of sleep. I always make sure that I am not rushed during my morning routine. (Even though, I am rushing out the door often.) As always it has been a long one so thank you so much for reading all the way.
